Course description

You would like to learn German and get to know Dresden together with your parents or children? Then our Family Course is the right choice for you. While parents would learn in our "Summer intensive course 25 or 30" Juniors (aged 11-15) would visit our Junior course, where they can either stay over at the camp with full room and board, or return home each day and stay overnight with the parents.

Besides effective language lessons that are full of variety, we offer a good deal of fun and games.  The lessons are very communicative and you are challenged at all times to actively be involved with what is going on.

You will research current themes and work together with students from around the globe to create presentations for civilisation and cultural projects – always with the aid and support of your trainers.

A multifaceted free time program rounds out your summer course and you can readily try out your newly gained German skills.  Field trips and excursions are prepared and accompanied by people who know Dresden well.  You will have the opportunity to meet interesting people and places around Dresden.  This way you can experience face-to-face a living and authentic Germany.

Typical Schoolday

Your German summer course starts everyday at 09.30 am and finishes at 2 pm (1 pm Juniors).  There are two breaks in between, in which you can relax from the intensive learning by playing table tennis, darts or billiard.

After class you can get some lunch at one of the many nearby pubs, cafés, biergartens or bistros.  Fully recharged, it's time to try out what you’ve learned in the organized free time activities.  Or you could borrow a film from our media library, surf the internet, or meet up with friends.  Weekends we go on excursions where you can discover Dresden's surroundings, like the enchanting Saxon Switzerland, Berlin or even Prague.

And if you feel like relaxing but still keeping with the German language, you should take part in our free time activities like beach volleyball, bowling, swimming, cycling or taking a steamboat along the Elbe, outdoor concerts, or cinema.  There are countless free time possibilities
